This is an entry-level engineering position. The successful candidate will apply geotechnical engineering techniques, procedures, and principles to various civil engineering infrastructure projects.
Must have a solid understanding of soil mechanics, shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, earth structures, earth pressures, instrumentation, construction monitoring, and soil laboratory testing. Some fieldwork is required.
B.S. in Civil Engineering. M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering a plus. Position requires registration as an Engineer-in-Training or obtaining an E.I.T. within 18 months of hire.
Knowledge of commonly used computer software (Word, Excel) expected. In addition, the candidate must have excellent writing and communication skills.
